How to connect a domain like shop.yourbrand.com: the DNS record to add, checking it, and making it your store's main address.

Steps
- 1Open Store → Settings → Domains.
- 2Press Connect domain and type your domain, such as shop.yourbrand.com.
- 3Copy the record shown (type, name and value) and add it in your domain provider's DNS settings.
- 4Wait: DNS changes take from a few minutes to a few hours. Then press Check now.
- 5When it says Connected, press Make primary if you want it as your store's main address; your free address then redirects to it.
Good to know
- Up to two custom domains per store.
- Changing your free store address breaks links you already shared; a custom domain doesn't.
- “Stopped resolving” means the DNS record was removed or changed at your provider.

Do I need a paid plan?
Yes. Custom domains come with every paid plan, from Lite.
Can I use my main domain (yourbrand.com)?
Use the exact record the screen shows for the domain you enter; a subdomain such as shop.yourbrand.com is the simplest.
